Nicholas N. Rossis, a fellow author and colleague, invited me to participate in an international authors project, The Writer’s Process Blog Tour. He is the author of Amazon’s #1 Pearseus fantasy book series. This month, Nicholas published The Power of Six, a collection of short science fiction stories, and is working on Mad Water, book four of the Pearseus series.

He recently answered four questions about his work and process on his website, and nominated other writers to share in the same way. I was one of them so here goes. If you find the information of interest please pass it along to your social media followers. Thanks for stopping by my website!

1) What am I working on?

I’m editing Unelmoija: The Spiritshifter, the third book in the Weeia Miami urban fantasy series. I’ve also begun writing Unelmoija: The Timeshifter, the fourth book in the series.

2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?

I’ll focus on how it’s similar first: it’s a first person account by Amy, the lead character; the story takes place in Miami, an urban environment; there is mystery, action and light romance.

It varies from other urban fantasies I’m familiar with in that the story is about the Weeia, superhumans with extra abilities, as opposed to vampires, were animals, fairies or witches.

3) Why do I write what I do?

In a way Amy, the main character in the Weeia series, inspires me to share her story. I write urban fantasy because I enjoy reading urban fantasies, and watching programs and films based on urban fantasy books.

4) How does my writing process work?

Outline, write, edit, write, tweak outline, write, edit, repeat then edit, edit, edit.
